Welcome to CarTrusta (“CarTrusta,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, platform, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using CarTrusta, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

1. PURPOSE OF THE PLATFORM

CarTrusta is a user-generated review platform that enables individuals to share experiences, opinions, and feedback regarding car sales professionals.

The Platform is intended solely for informational purposes to assist users in making more informed decisions.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using CarTrusta, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. USER ACCOUNTS

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

CarTrusta reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion.

4. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

4.1 Responsibility for Content

Users may submit reviews, ratings, comments, and other materials (“User Content”). You are solely responsible for any User Content you submit.

4.2 Content Standards

You agree that your User Content will not:

  • Be false, misleading, or knowingly inaccurate
  • Be defamatory, abusive, harassing, or threatening
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe upon any third-party rights
  • Contain spam, fake reviews, or undisclosed conflicts of interest

4.3 License to Use Content

By submitting User Content, you grant CarTrusta a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Platform.

5. REVIEW VERIFICATION POLICY

CarTrusta may offer a verification process for certain reviews upon request. Verification may include confirming that a reviewer had a legitimate transaction or interaction with the referenced car sales professional.

Verification is conducted on a case-by-case basis and only when requested by a user, business, or at CarTrusta’s discretion. Not all reviews are verified, and the absence of verification does not imply that a review is inaccurate or unreliable.

CarTrusta does not guarantee the accuracy, authenticity, or completeness of any review, whether verified or unverified.

6. NO ENDORSEMENT OR RELIANCE

CarTrusta does not independently verify all User Content.

All reviews, ratings, and opinions expressed on the Platform are solely those of the individual users and do NOT reflect the opinions, views, or positions of CarTrusta.

Users should not rely solely on reviews when making decisions and should conduct their own independent research.

Even where a review has been labeled as “verified,” such designation only indicates that certain information was reviewed and does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or validation of the review’s content.

7. CONTENT MODERATION

CarTrusta reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor, review, remove, or modify User Content at its sole discretion.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.

8. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, fake, or incentivized reviews
  • Manipulate ratings or rankings
  • Impersonate any individual or entity
  • Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
  • Scrape, copy, or misuse Platform data without permission

9. BUSINESS PROFILES

Car sales professional profiles may be created by users or by CarTrusta.

Inclusion on the Platform does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or recommendation by CarTrusta.

Individuals may have the ability to claim or update their profiles, subject to verification.

10. DISCLAIMERS

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarTrusta disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarTrusta shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages resulting from reliance on User Content
  • Disputes between users and third parties

12. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CarTrusta and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms

13. TERMINATION

CarTrusta may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

14. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. CHANGES TO TERMS

CarTrusta reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
